Tyrone, PA - Personnel and apparatus from Neptune Fire Company mobilized on mutual aid Wednesday to support the Sinking Valley Volunteer Fire Company on Box 24-1, assisting with operations at a fully involved residential structure fire.
On September 16, 2026, emergency dispatchers transmitted the box alarm requesting Department 31/34 resources to aid first-due companies battling the heavy fire conditions. Neptune Engine 34 and Hookies Engine Rescue 33 responded to the scene.
Upon arrival, Engine 34 was positioned into the command structure and directed its manpower directly to the damaged structure. Firefighters conducted labor-intensive overhaul operations—tearing open smoldering interior cavities, uncovering concealed embers, checking for extension, and assisting with extensive debris removal and site cleanup.
Neptune crews operated on the fireground for roughly two hours to ensure the scene was safe and fully extinguished before being released by command to return to service.
