Doylestown TWP, PA - ,An aggressive multi-company response brought a late-night kitchen fire under control quickly on Thursday, preventing toxic smoke and flames from penetrating residential living quarters at the Heritage Pointe complex.
At 9:42 p.m. on September 10, 2026, emergency dispatchers transmitted Box 79054 for a reported building fire at 400 South Main Street. Units including Doylestown Engine 79, Tower 79, Rescue 19, and Engine 19 mobilized immediately to the scene.
Battalion 79 arrived first to find an active fire inside a kitchen, which had been successfully contained to a commercial grease trap. Fire crews deployed an attack line for rapid extinguishment while establishing positive pressure ventilation to purge lingering smoke from the facility. Crucially, responders confirmed that the smoke condition was isolated and did not migrate into adjacent residential sections of the building.
Fire Marshal 228 responded to the scene to conduct an investigation into the ignition. Assisted on the box alarm by mutual aid crews from Warrington Fire Co. 1, Midway Volunteer Fire Company, Lingohocken Fire Company, and Warwick Township Fire Company No. 1, responders fully mitigated the hazard and cleared the scene in under 30 minutes.
