Arkport Firefighters Respond to Two Calls on Sept. 6

Sept. 6, 2025 — The Arkport Fire Department responded to two calls Saturday, assisting both with a medical emergency and a hazardous odor investigation.
At 8:12 a.m., crews were dispatched to an ambulance call in the Village. Medic 2, Car 2, and Car 201 assisted Hornell City Ambulance with lifting and patient care.
Later in the day, at 12:55 p.m., firefighters were dispatched to the Town of Dansville for a reported smell of propane. Engine 69, Rescue 38, and Car 201 responded to investigate. After ensuring the area was safe, the scene was turned over to the utilities company for follow-up.
