ARKPORT, N.Y., Sept. 12–13, 2025 — The Arkport Fire Department responded to four separate calls over a 24-hour period, ranging from rescue concerns to medical assists.

At 7:29 p.m. on Sept. 12, crews were dispatched for a paraglider reported down in the woods near West Avenue in the Village. Engine 69, Brush 16, Car 2, and Car 202 responded. After interviewing bystanders, it was learned that multiple people had seen a paraglider descend but not return to the air. On Sept. 13 at 9:32 a.m., Arkport firefighters assisted Almond Ambulance on a fall injury call. Medic 2, Car 2, Car 201, as well as an MTS Ambulance and ALS unit, responded to provide patient care.

That evening, at 7:34 p.m., Arkport was dispatched alongside Hornell Ambulance to the Residences at Hornell for another ambulance call. Medic 2, Car 2, and Car 201 responded, with assistance from Hornell Police Department. The patient ultimately signed off without transport.
