Exeter Township Crews Hold Perimeter on Hollywood Avenue for Extended Police Call

Exeter TWP, PA - Firefighters and fire police from the Exeter Township Volunteer Fire Department maintained an extended five-hour operational standby in Mount Penn on Wednesday, providing direct logistical and scene-support assets to law enforcement during an active police incident.

On September 30, 2026, emergency dispatchers directed a heavy contingency of Exeter Township apparatus to the Hollywood Avenue corridor to stage alongside police units. The department deployed Tower 25, Engine-Tanker 25, Rescue-Engine 25, Utility 25, and dedicated fire police personnel to secure the immediate perimeter, isolate vehicular traffic, and stand ready for potential structural, medical, or fire contingencies.

Operating crews remained staged on scene for nearly five hours as police managed and ultimately resolved the incident.

Throughout the prolonged deployment, Exeter maintained uninterrupted protection across its home municipality, keeping Rescue 25 fully staffed with an in-station duty crew ready to handle initial-due emergency dispatches.
