Exeter TWP, PA - Exeter Township fire crews responded to the local Lowe's Home Improvement store Monday evening following an active water flow fire alarm inside the large retail facility.
On the evening of September 14, 2026, emergency units were dispatched to the commercial property to investigate an automatic fire sprinkler system activation. Arriving firefighters conducted a thorough sweep of the building to determine whether flames had tripped the system.
Responders quickly confirmed there was no active fire on the premises. Instead, personnel traced the activation to a mechanical malfunction within the fire suppression system that had triggered the water flow monitors.
Crews located the control risers, shut down the affected valves, and successfully isolated the water supply to prevent flooding damage. After resetting the alarm panel and placing the system into the hands of facility maintenance and fire protection technicians, Exeter units returned to service.
