Sunday Sept 28,2025 in Luzerne County. Newport Twp fire along with Nanticoke Fire UTV and Nanticoke Medic 25 were dispatched for an atv accident in a wooded area with injuries. When units arrived and located the atv accident a medical helicopter was dispatched to respond to the accident. Nanticoke fire was then dispatched for an engine to respond and setup a landing zone for Lehigh Valley Medevac 4. Once Medevac landed and the patient was brought out of the woods. The patient was loaded and transported to the landing zone and then loaded into the aircraft and flown to a trauma center.
