Clinton, CT - On September 12, 2025, members of the Clinton Volunteer Fire Department, along with Marine 1 from the Clinton CT Police Department, responded to a report of a capsized sailboat with one person in the water appearing to be in distress. Upon arrival, responders found an approximately 10-foot sailboat that had capsized. One individual was discovered clinging to the side of the vessel, unable to right it.

Using both the large response boat and a medium skiff, the team successfully removed the individual from the water, righted the sailboat, and assisted both the vessel and its occupant back to shore.
