Shelton, Conn. — September 15 —Companies 3, 4, and 5 of the Shelton Fire Department participated in the 2025 State Convention Parade in Orange on Monday. Departments from all over the region participated in the parade, which took place in conjunction with the Orange Volunteer Fire Department's 100th anniversary celebration. Utility 31 from Company 3 was honored as the Best Appearing Commercial Apparatus at the parade. All of the trucks looked good and showed pride in their equipment, according to department representatives. As the other companies took part in the event, Company 1 remained behind to cover and staff the department's standard equipment.
