Newtown Hook & Ladder Responds to Two-Car Crash on Church Hill Road

Oct. 1, 2025 — Just before 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, Newtown Hook & Ladder firefighters were dispatched to a two-car motor vehicle accident on Church Hill Road in front of the Blue Colony Diner.
Crews arrived to find both vehicles involved, with fluids down on the roadway. Fortunately, there were no injuries reported to the occupants, firefighters — or even to a pumpkin at the scene, as the department noted with a touch of humor.
The incident was quickly secured, and traffic in the area resumed without further issue.
