Fairfield Firefighter Deploys Overseas with Connecticut Army National Guard

Sept. 27, 2025 — The Fairfield Fire Department is sending its best wishes to Firefighter Sean Pichette, who is preparing for deployment overseas with the 102nd Infantry of the Connecticut Army National Guard.
Saturday marked Pichette’s last on-duty shift before his departure. Fellow firefighters and community members extended their gratitude for his service and offered words of encouragement for a safe mission and a speedy return home.
“Please join us in wishing Firefighter Pichette safe travels and a swift, safe return,” the department said in a statement.
