Sept. 28, 2025 — Members of the Botsford Fire Rescue traveled on Sunday to the Connecticut State Firefighters Memorial Wall in Windsor Locks to honor Assistant Chief Blomberg, whose name was added to the memorial this year.
Botsford members accompanied Blomberg’s family for the ceremony, standing together to recognize his service and sacrifice. The department expressed gratitude to its sister companies — Sandy Hook Volunteer Fire & Rescue, Hawleyville Fire, and Dodgingtown Fire — for joining them in support.
The memorial wall serves as a lasting tribute to Connecticut firefighters who have lost their lives in the line of duty, ensuring their legacy is never forgotten.
