FARMINGVILLE NY..AN CALL FOR A RESIDENTAL FIRE SENT FIREFIGHTERS TO WORK AROUND 1 AM ON SUNDAY MORNING. UPON ARRIVAL FIREFIGHTERS WERE MEET WITH A FULLY ENGULFED HOUSE FIRE AND FULLY INVOLVED SUV IN DRIVEWAY. AS FIREFIGHTERS STARTED TO WORK AN ELECTRICAL WIRE FELL INTO A PUDDLE OF WATER SENDING ELECTRICAL CURRENT THRU THE GROUND INJURING SEVERAL FIREFIGHTER WORKING IN CLOSE PROXIMITY .. THE FIREFIGHTERS WERE TREATED ON SCENE EXCEPT FOR TWO THAT WERE TRANSPORTED FOR EVALUATION. AT THE SAME TIME THE FIRE RAGED ON
MUTUAL AID REQUESTS WENT OUT TO SELDEN,HOLTSVILLE MEDFORD CENTEREACH N PATCHOGUE HOLBROOK AND MIDDLE ISLAND. THE FIRE COMPLETELY DEMOLISHED.THE FIRE WAS KNOCKED DOWN ABOUT 40 MINS LATER WITH NO FURTHER INJURIES REPORTED
