Wayne Firefighters Responded to Reported Gas Emergency

Wayne, NJ — September 8 — Members of Community Volunteer Fire Company #1, Inc., located at 93-97 Parish Dr., Wayne, responded with P.O.L.Fire Company #2 to a reported gas or utility-related emergency on Riverview Drive in Wayne Township.
Firefighters arrived at the scene to investigate the reported utility issue and assess whether any fire, gas or other hazard was present.
The crew was ready to secure the area, identify any potential dangers, and coordinate with the relevant utility personnel if necessary.
Community Volunteer Fire Company #1 was established in 1918 and was the first among the five volunteer fire companies that form the Wayne Fire Department.
