Coeymans Hollow Fire Stops Car Fire After Woods Crash

Coeymans Hollow, N.Y. — September 28 — The Coeymans Hollow Volunteer Fire Corp. (CHVFC) responded Sunday afternoon to a single-vehicle crash on Blodgett Hill Road, where a car left the roadway and went into the woods.

The first arriving unit, Fire Police Captain Jack Dennis, found the driver already out of the vehicle and uninjured. Car 6-02 and Rescue 6-10 secured the scene.

While awaiting a tow truck, firefighters discovered a small fire under the car. Crews quickly extinguished it, preventing any further damage. Albany County Medics evaluated the driver on site, and all units returned to service after the vehicle was removed.
