Bristol, R.I. — September 22 — Members of the Bristol Fire Department worked with the Newport Fire Department over the weekend to conduct advanced training in acquired structures in Newport. Firefighters practiced search operations, forcible entry, Vent-Enter-Search (VES) techniques, and roof ventilation while working in smoke-filled environments. According to department leaders, these drills are crucial for enhancing teamwork, communication, and tactical confidence in authentic firefight scenarios.
