Wethersfield Fire Contained House Blaze to One Wall Early Morning

Wethersfield, Conn. — September 6 — The Wethersfield Volunteer Fire Department was called to a structure fire on Baneberry Lane at 3:39 a.m. When firefighters arrived, they discovered that the fire was contained to one of the building's walls. During the incident, the town was covered by neighboring departments from Rocky Hill and Newington. Before firefighters arrived, residents safely left the house after being alerted by smoke detectors.
