Power Outage Forces Elevator Rescue in Wethersfield Incident

Wethersfield, Conn. — September 4 — A large truck struck power lines serving the Buffalo Wild Wings location and pulled down a utility pole on Hewitt Street on Thursday., prompting the Wethersfield Volunteer Fire Department to respond to a call. Additionally, the damage caused a local power outage, which led to an elevator malfunction at 1233 Silas Deane Highway. Firefighters located the occupant trapped in the elevator and performed an extrication, safely removing them from the stalled car.
