Gettysburg, PA - Less than ten hours after an earlier morning collision, emergency crews were called back to the York Road corridor Tuesday evening to mitigate a second multi-vehicle crash.
At approximately 5:56 p.m. on September 15, 2026, units were alerted to a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of York Road and Natural Springs Road, just down the roadway from the morning's incident. Chief 1 arrived on scene to find two passenger vehicles involved, with the wreckage partially obstructing travel lanes during peak evening traffic.
First responders evaluated occupants and confirmed two individuals suffered minor injuries. Firefighters secured the vehicles to prevent post-collision hazards, swept debris from the active lanes, and assisted EMS crews with patient care.
Emergency personnel and fire police controlled the traffic flow around the obstructed roadway, keeping motorists moving safely until the damaged cars could be removed and the lanes returned to service.
