New Oxford, PA - Firefighters from the Irishtown Fire Company mobilized apparatus Thursday morning to assist neighboring United Hook & Ladder Company 33 at the scene of a working outbuilding fire along Hunterstown Hampton Road.
On the morning of September 3, 2026, emergency dispatchers alerted regional fire companies to an active fire involving an exterior detached structure on Hunterstown Hampton Road. Irishtown responded with both an Engine and an Engine Tanker to provide critical fire suppression personnel and supplementary water supply.
Upon arrival, Irishtown crews integrated operations with United Hook & Ladder units, stretching attack lines to aggressively hit the main body of fire while establishing tanker shuttle and water supply lines in the rural corridor. Firefighters worked to prevent the flames from spreading into nearby brush, exposure buildings, or primary residences.
Due to the heavy presence of operating emergency apparatus and hose laid along the roadway, officials warned local motorists to avoid the Hunterstown Hampton Road corridor as suppression and overhaul operations remained active. No injuries were immediately reported.
