Washington Township Crews Extinguished Shopping Center Vehicle Fire

Washington Twp., N.J. — September 13 — The Washington Township Fire Department responded to a vehicle fire that was reported at a shopping center around 1:52 p.m. on September 13. Firefighters arrived with Engine 44 and discovered a vehicle that had caught fire in the shopping center parking lot. The crew quickly started fire suppression efforts and managed to bring the fire under control shortly after their arrival.
After the main fire was put out, firefighters checked the vehicle to ensure there was no lingering heat or fire that could reignite.
The prompt response helped contain the fire to the vehicle itself.
The Washington Township Police Department was on the scene to manage traffic and help keep the area safe for the firefighters.
Police and fire personnel worked together to handle the situation efficiently.
There were no reported injuries. Firefighters stayed at the scene until the vehicle was fully secured and the area was deemed safe.
