Trumbull, N.J— September 11 — The Trumbull Volunteer Fire Company joined emergency services nationwide on Thursday in commemorating and remembering those who gave their lives on September 11, 2001. 343 FDNY firefighters, 23 NYPD officers, 37 Port Authority officers, and numerous others lost their lives while serving others on that day.
