Mastic N.Y.- On September 11, 2022, the Mastic Fire Department along with their neighboring departments Mastic Beach Fire Department and Mastic Ambulance held a 9/11 ceremony. Each year the department gathers to remember those lives lost on that day. A brief service was held at the fire house followed by another 1 at the FDNY Firefighter Kevin Smith memorial. Members lined up at both services and brief invocations and remarks were read by the department chaplain. Wreaths were also laid at both locations before members were dismissed from the events.
