Wyckoff Truck 241 Deploys as Rapid Intervention Team to Working House Fire in Ho-Ho-Kus

Wyckoff, NJ - The Wyckoff Volunteer Fire Department responded to neighboring Ho-Ho-Kus early Monday morning to provide specialized firefighter safety support at the scene of an active residential structure fire.

During the early morning hours of September 28, 2026, the Ho-Ho-Kus Fire Department requested mutual aid assistance after encountering a confirmed, working fire inside a single-family dwelling. Emergency dispatchers alerted Wyckoff Truck 241 to respond to the scene as the designated Rapid Intervention Team (RIT).

Upon arrival, Truck 241 staged specialized rescue tools, thermal imaging cameras, and rapid intervention air packs outside the structure, establishing a dedicated proactive safety detail prepared to immediately breach, search, and rescue interior attack crews in the event of a structural collapse, flashover, or Mayday emergency.

Wyckoff personnel maintained RIT operations until the interior blaze was contained and the fireground was declared safe by incident commanders.
