Engine Companies 3 and 4 Handled Fair Lawn Vehicle Fire

Fair Lawn, N.J. — September 8 — Fair Lawn Fire Department Engine Companies 3 and 4 responded on Tuesday afternoon to a vehicle fire reported on Saddle River Road near the TD Bank.
The companies were called out around 12:18 p.m. for the reported car fire. When they arrived, Battalion Chief Ralph Rinaldo found a fire in the engine compartment of a Toyota Camry. Firefighters immediately used their equipment to put out the fire and prevented it from spreading further inside the vehicle.
No injuries were reported during the incident. After finishing the fire suppression process and inspecting the vehicle, Fair Lawn units left the scene shortly after and resumed their regular duties.
The response highlighted the importance of a rapid response to vehicle fires, where crews need to locate the fire, create a safe working area, and stop the fire from spreading.
Engine companies are equipped with the necessary tools to handle such situations while also ensuring the safety of firefighters from traffic and other potential dangers.
A local report also confirmed that Fair Lawn Engine Company 4 responded at approximately 12:18 p.m. to a vehicle fire on Saddle River Road on September 8.
