Avon, CT - Around 02: 00 am on 28 September, The Avon Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched as part of Task Force 54 to High Street in Torrington for a third-alarm structure fire. Rescue 8 responded with a six-member crew to provide support at the scene and returned safely to Avon around 7:00 a.m.
