Ferrisburgh Fire Supports Multi-Agency Water Search

Ferrisburgh, Vt. — September 16 —At approximately 4:40 p.m., Ferrisburgh Marine 1 responded mutual aid to assist the City of Vergennes Fire Department, Vergennes Technical Rescue, Middlebury Technical Rescue, and the Vergennes Area Rescue Squad in the search for a missing kayaker.
Through coordinated joint operations on the water, the missing vessel and its occupant were located and safely returned to shore. The Ferrisburgh Volunteer Fire Department praised its boat crew and thanked all mutual-aid partners for their teamwork and professionalism in bringing the incident to a safe conclusion.
