Elwood, N.J. — September 29 — The Elwood Volunteer Fire Company, Station 160, responded at 3:07 p.m. to a reported fire alarm activation at 3417 South White Horse Pike in Elwood. Crews investigated the scene at the Bus Stop Bar and found no visible fire conditions.
Firefighters determined the alarm was triggered by a faulty smoke detector head. The faulty unit was removed, the system was reset, and the building was returned to normal operation.
