Greenwich Dwelling Fire Draws Mutual Aid From Two Counties

Greenwich, N.J. — September 26, 2026 — On Saturday afternoon, Greenwich Fire & Rescue responded to a house fire in Greenwich Township, which rapidly escalated to an active blaze, prompting the deployment of firefighters and support crews from Cumberland and Salem counties to the scene. 

The first department on the scene was Greenwich Fire & Rescue. As the incident escalated, mutual-aid companies were asked to support firefighting efforts, staffing, and rehabilitation. 

Companies responding from Cumberland County included Hopewell-Stow Creek Station 21, Bridgeton Station 7, Bridgeton BLS 7, Upper Deerfield Station 33, Rosenhayn Station 29, and Lawrence Township Rehab 38. Mutual aid from Salem County included Lower Alloways Creek Station 18 and Alloway Station 19
