Specialized Air Cascade Unit Mobilized for All-Hands Dwelling Fire in Deptford

Brooklawn, NJ - Specialized breathing air support from Camden County was summoned to the Oak Valley section of Deptford Township on Saturday following an all-hands dwelling fire that brought regional mutual aid to the scene.

On the morning of September 19, the Brooklawn Fire Company deployed its mobile air replenishment unit, Cascade 344, to provide critical logistical support for interior firefighting crews operating at an active residential structure fire.

Operating on scene alongside primary suppression companies, personnel aboard Cascade 344 established bottle-refilling operations to recharge self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) cylinders for firefighters working in smoke-filled conditions. The on-site cascade support ensured continuous respiratory protection throughout search, overhaul, and extended suppression efforts before the scene was cleared.
