Mountain Lakes Firefighters Responded to MVA With Entrapment

Mountain Lakes, N.J. — September 16 — Members of the Mountain Lakes Volunteer Fire Department responded to a reported motor vehicle accident involving a trapped occupant at the intersection of Wilcox and Morris Avenue on late Wednesday night.

The department was called to the scene around 11:43 p.m. Firefighters arrived and worked alongside EMS teams to evaluate the vehicle and its occupant.

One person was trapped inside the vehicle and needed to be extricated. Firefighters used specialized rescue equipment and worked closely with EMS personnel to safely remove the individual from the car. Once the extrication was completed, the patient was taken to a nearby hospital by EMS for further medical care.

Firefighters stayed at the scene until the rescue operation was finished and the area was declared safe. All units from the Mountain Lakes Fire Department cleared the incident by approximately 12:30 a.m.
