Bayonne, N.J. — September 19 — The Bayonne Office of Emergency Management reported that the Bayonne Fire Department has placed a new Ladder 3 into service, strengthening the city’s firefighting and rescue capacity.
The 100-foot Pierce aerial ladder replaces an aging unit and offers improved reach, safety, and communications features. It is part of Bayonne’s broader fleet-modernization program.
Mayor Jimmy Davis joined fire officials, the Department of Public Works, the Police Department, and the Bayonne Fire Canteen at the dedication ceremony. The OEM emphasized that the new ladder enhances coordination among city agencies during emergencies.
