Attleboro, MA - A rollover crash on Tuesday afternoon left one driver injured and caused a power outage in the area.
Shortly before 1:30 p.m. on Sept. 16, the Attleboro Fire Department was dispatched to the intersection of Holden Street and Benefit Street following reports of a motor vehicle rollover.
Upon arrival, firefighters found a vehicle overturned on its roof with significant damage. Brewster Ambulance personnel, who had arrived at the scene before the firefighters, provided initial aid to the sole occupant, a man in his 70s. Firefighters assisted in extricating the patient, who was then transported by advanced life support ambulance to Sturdy Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The vehicle had struck a utility pole, bringing down wires and causing a localized power outage. National Grid crews responded to repair the damage and restore service.
The Attleboro Police Department is investigating the cause of the crash.
