Lanesborough, MA - The Department’s retrofitted Stewart Stevenson military vehicle, affectionately known as “Stewie,” made its first off-road fire response this week. Equipped with specialized firefighting gear, Stewie played a key role in stopping a grass and brush fire before it could spread into a larger incident.

The Department extends its gratitude to the members who dedicated their time and effort to bringing this vehicle to life and preparing it for service.
