10 September 2025 - Good Will Fire Company (GWFC) recently hosted students from Belvidere High School’s Future First Responders Club. The club, started by Mr. Duckworth, aims to introduce students to the roles of first responders and the various organizations within the community where they can volunteer. During their visit, the students had hands-on experience using extrication equipment to make cuts in a vehicle and learned how to connect a hose to a hydrant and operate it.

GWFC extends its thanks to Mr. Duckworth and the students for visiting and looks forward to seeing them pursue careers as first responders.

GWFC is currently accepting junior members aged 16 and older who are interested in learning more about the fire service. Those eligible can attend the Warren County Fire Academy to earn their Firefighter 1 certification. Interested individuals are encouraged to visit GWFC any Monday night after 6:30 PM.
