Ramsey, N.J. — September 23, 2025 — On Tuesday, The Ramsey Fire Department conducted an evening hands-on drill with saws, focusing on both wood and metal cutting techniques.

Two training stations were set up: one for wood-frame construction and another for metal materials. Crews practiced with both gas-powered and battery-powered saws to improve familiarity with the tools used during firefighting operations.

Training officers emphasized the importance of keeping members skilled with all equipment. The department regularly sees 20–25 members participating in drills, reflecting strong engagement.
