According to fire officials, the department's crews were sent to several traffic incidents, assisting local law enforcement and emergency medical services with vehicle stabilization, patient care, and scene safety. During one call, firefighters had to control and secure a landing area so that a medical helicopter could safely transport a patient to a nearby trauma center.
