Bordentown Township, N.J. — September 26, 2025 —Bordentown Township Fire District #1 took part in a State Certified Officer (SCO) training course to help its members improve their skills. Evesham Fire-Rescue hosted the program, which was carried out in collaboration with Safety & Survival Training.Among those completing the program for Bordentown Township Fire District #1 were Captain Mark Mezger, Firefighter Steve Holmak, and Firefighter Michael Rathjen. The class blended classroom instruction with scenario-based exercises to strengthen leadership, risk assessment, and operational decision-making at emergency scenes.
