Hammonton Fire Department’s AJ Berenato Receives Hammy Award for Firefighter of the Year

24 September 2025 - The Hammonton Fire Department extends its congratulations to Assistant Chief (Co. 1) AJ Berenato, who has been honored with The Hammonton Gazette’s 2025 Hammy Award for “Firefighter of the Year.”
This recognition highlights Berenato’s tireless dedication and exceptional service to the community.
The department also congratulates fellow nominees Sean Macri and Sal Giorno, along with all of the 2025 Hammy Award winners celebrated last evening. The Hammonton Fire Department looks forward to many more years of outstanding service and success from its members.
