On September 18, 2025, at 10:48 p.m., Whiting Fire Department units responded to a vehicle fire on Beckerville Road.

Second Assistant Chief 3320 arrived on scene, established command, and confirmed a single unoccupied pickup truck fully involved with a dump trailer attached. Crews deployed a 1¾-inch attack line and quickly began suppression efforts. The fire was brought under control without any additional spread.

Mutual aid partners from JBMDL Fire Department assisted on scene. No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by the Ocean County Fire Marshal’s Office and the Manchester Police Department.
