Elwood, N.J, — September18 — On Thursday, afternoon the Elwood Volunteer Fire Company – Station 160 was dispatched to 2410 5th Avenue in Sweetwater for an activated fire alarm. The incident was logged as Call #109 for the year.
The first-arriving officer established command and conducted a quick assessment. After confirming there was no fire or hazard, all responding units were released shortly after arrival.
No injuries or property damage were reported, and the company returned to service soon after clearing the scene.
