Elwood, N.J. — September 15 — On Monday, the Elwood Volunteer Fire Company – Station 160 was dispatched to 1001 Elwood Road for a reported woods fire behind a residence. The incident was logged as Call #108 for the year.
First-arriving officers found the fire confined to a small backyard pit with no risk of spreading to nearby brush or structures.
With the situation secure, command recalled all other incoming units. No injuries or property damage were reported, and crews cleared the scene shortly afterward.
