Motorcycle-Deer Crash Reported on Cape May Avenue

Dorothy, N.J. — September 20, 2025 —The Dorothy Volunteer Fire Company (DVFC) was called to the scene of a motorcycle-deer collision at 7:28 a.m. on Cape May Avenue. The incident was recorded as EMS Call 25-699 and Fire Call 25-160. The rider hit a deer on the road, according to early reports. DVFC responded with Basic Life Support (BLS) Unit 12-7.

The rider, who had only minor injuries, was evaluated by first-arriving crews. Before the patient was discharged, EMS staff assessed and cared for them on the scene. While the motorcycle was being removed from the road, DVFC's Rescue 1272 stayed there for about an hour. The incident was responded to by seven members of the DVFC.
