Hanover Firefighters Mobilize to Canaan for Massive Fourth-Alarm Structure Fire

Hanover, NH - Firefighters from the Hanover Fire Department joined a major multi-agency mutual aid mobilization Wednesday afternoon, responding to assist neighboring Canaan crews battling a stubborn, fourth-alarm building fire.

On the afternoon of September 23, emergency dispatchers escalated a working structural fire in the Town of Canaan through multiple alarms, eventually striking a fourth alarm to summon extensive regional firefighting assets from across the Upper Valley.

Among the mutual aid assignments dispatched, the Hanover on-duty crew responded to the fireground with Engine 6 and Car 1 (command vehicle). Hanover personnel operated alongside multiple regional fire companies, assisting with water supply, structural suppression, and defensive operations required to bring the large-scale commercial or residential incident under control.
