Springfield Emergency Crews Aid Hurt Motorist at 1015 Wilbraham Road Crash Scene

Springfield, MA - A motorist was transported to an area hospital Tuesday morning after a truck left the roadway and slammed into a tree along Wilbraham Road.

At approximately 9:30 a.m. on September 1, Springfield Fire and Emergency Services personnel were dispatched to the 1000 block of Wilbraham Road, near the 1015 address, following reports of a serious single-vehicle collision.

First-arriving emergency units found a truck that had veered off the road and sustained substantial front-end damage after impacting a tree. Firefighters secured the vehicle to mitigate electrical and fluid hazards while emergency medical personnel rendered aid to the sole occupant.

Following on-scene evaluation and stabilization, the injured driver was transported by ambulance to a nearby medical facility for treatment. Responders remained on scene to assist with debris cleanup and traffic management until the disabled vehicle could be removed from the roadway.
