Bartlett Firefighters Responded to Rolling Ridge Road Tractor Fire

Glen, NH — September 18 — Bartlett Firefighters Association received a call about a tractor fire on Rolling Ridge Road.Engine 2 was dispatched with a crew, and 21C1 also went directly to the scene.

When Engine 2 arrived, they found the tractor completely engulfed in flames. Additional water and more firefighters were requested from the Jackson Fire Department, which sent Engine 8 and a crew to help with firefighting efforts.

Firefighters from Bartlett and Jackson worked together to control the fire. The extra help and water supply supported the initial response and helped crews quickly extinguish the fire.

This incident highlighted the importance of mutual aid between neighboring departments in the Mount Washington Valley.

Jackson officials have noted that Bartlett and Jackson are among the communities covered by a regional mutual-aid agreement that includes several local fire departments.

Jackson Fire Department is based at 58 Main Street and offers fire protection and emergency services to the local community.

Mutual aid agreements allow fire departments to request additional equipment and personnel when an incident needs more resources than a single department can handle. This coordination is especially helpful for rural areas during fires that require more water, staff, or specialized tools.

The tractor fire was successfully controlled through the combined efforts of Bartlett and Jackson firefighters.
