Westport Firefighters Responded to MVC With Fire

Westport, MA — September 16 — The Westport Fire Department responded to a motor vehicle crash involving fire in the 900 block of Main Road.Engine 1, Rescue 1, Rescue 2, and Chief 1 were dispatched to the scene.

Upon arrival, firefighters discovered a vehicle that had crashed and was on fire. Crews swiftly used suppression equipment to put out the fire while rescue personnel assessed the individuals involved in the collision.

Three individuals were transported for injuries that were reported as not life-threatening. Firefighters also coordinated with other emergency agencies to manage the scene, support patient care, and ensure traffic safety.

The response was conducted from Westport Fire Department, Station No. 1, located at 54 Hix Bridge Road. The department maintains two stations and provides a range of emergency services, including fire suppression, emergency medical response, vehicle rescue, hazardous materials handling, and other critical services within the community.
