Fall River Firefighters Battled Three-Alarm Commercial Fire

Fall River, MA — September 23 — Fall River firefighters responded to a three-alarm fire that spread across several commercial buildings near Rodman Street and South Main Street during the late hours of Wednesday night.

Firefighters were called to the scene shortly after 10 p.m.

at 26 Rodman Street, where they discovered heavy flames coming from the rear of the building. The fire quickly spread through the structure and into two adjacent commercial buildings, prompting command to elevate the incident to a third alarm. Firefighters worked for several hours throughout the night before bringing the fire under control.

One Fall River firefighter suffered a cut during the operation but stayed at the scene and did not require hospital treatment.

After the main fire was contained, crews continued with overhaul and hot-spot operations as needed.

Firefighters remained on site based on the conditions, while additional personnel were deployed to ensure citywide coverage.
