Oradell, N.J. — September 20: On Saturday evening, a 9-1-1 caller from the 600 block of Blauvelt Avenue reported that smoke was coming from inside their home. The Oradell Fire Department responded promptly and traced the issue to a problem with recessed lighting in the dwelling. In order to keep the electrical system safe and prevent more incidents, firefighters worked to contain the situation. The situation never got out of hand—no injuries were reported, and no fires spread outside the immediate area
