Aircraft crash draws multi-agency response in Penn Forest Township

PENN FOREST TOWNSHIP, Pa. (Thursday, Sept. 11) — Firefighters and multiple agencies responded Thursday evening to an aircraft crash off Maury Road, officials said.
Penn Forest Township Volunteer Fire Company #2 sent Rescue 2255, Tanker 2233, Brush 2244 with UTV 2278, and Command 2277. They were joined by District 12, UTV 17, Lehighton ALS, Carbon County EMA, the FAA, NTSB and additional state agencies.
Volunteers operated for about five hours before clearing the scene.
